A Baytown man who pleaded guilty to forcing a teenager to work as a prostitute has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Scott Rodney Robinson, 46, was convicted of aggravated compelling of prostitution, a first-degree felony.
Harris County prosecutors said the girl told
authorities Robinson forced her into prostitution after he found out she
was having sex with boys, telling her that if she was going to act like
a prostitute then she might as well be one, according to a statement
released Tuesday by the Harris County District Attorney's Office.

that Scott Robinson forced (the teenager) into the depths of the illegal
sex industry," said JoAnne Musick, chief of the Harris County District
Attorney's Office sex-crimes unit. "His depravity earned him decades in
The man made the girl work the tractor-trailer rigs
parked at truck stops, offering sex in exchange for money that he then
took from her, prosecutors said. The girl said she had multiple
customers a night.
Robinson was sentenced by state District Judge Brad Hart.
He was first arrested in June 2015 after an
undercover investigation by the Houston Child Exploitation Task Force,
which includes the FBI and the Houston Police Department's vice section,
the district attorney's office said.
The investigation got help from an anonymous tip to
the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Robinson was
"pimping" the girl, who was 16 at the time. The tip linked to an escort
ad on the website BackPage.com, according to court records.
