Shooting in 3300 Bernal Drive

 

Preliminary information , this is all he information available at this time.

 

On May 17, 2017, at about 9:00 pm, officers were dispatched to a call for police regarding a shooting in the 3300 block of Bernal Drive.  The investigation revealed that Victim #1 was involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location that escalated to a physical assault between Victim #1 and two suspects.  During the incident, property was taken from Victim #1. This incident is documented on case number 111192-2017.

 

Officers were then dispatched back to the location regarding a shooting, and upon arrival officers determined that two victims of this offense went by private vehicle to Methodist Central Hospital. Officers responded to the hospital and spoke with Victim #1 (the same victim referred to above). The Victim #1 stated she was involved in the altercation above, fled the location, however returned to the offense location to look for property that was taken from her earlier.  Upon arrival, the two suspects, exited a vehicle with weapons and began firing shots. During the gunfire, one victim was shot. The Victim #1 suffered a gunshot wound in the buttocks area; Victim #2(not injured) drove them both to the hospital.

 

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Suspect #1 suffered and injury during the incident and was transported to Parkland by a private vehicle. This is an ongoing investigation with interviews being conducted. An Aggravated Assault offense is documented on case number 110991-2017.
