LINDEN, Texas (KETK) - Wednesday morning, law enforcement from across Texas met up in Cass County to honor fallen state Trooper Damon Allen as a Thin Blue Line Camaro was unveiled. A non-profit started by a retired police officer called Cops 4 Cops Texas wants to make sure people never forget the sacrifice he made.

"There's no words hun, none," Byron Colston, Retired Lieutenant and Founder of Cops 4 Cops said to Allen's wife, Kasey, during a ceremony dedicated to her husband.

There is no words to heal the pain Trooper Allen's loved one's feel. However, Lieutenant Colston is doing everything he can to continue his mission of helping heroes, serving their families and honoring their sacrifice.

"The target on their back must stop," said Colston. "I don't care if they wear tan, I don't care if they wear green, we all wear a badge. We all are doing this for the same reason."

Dozens of people showed up in support of the unveiling, including Cass County Judge Becky Wilbanks and State Representative Chris Paddie.

"Our prayer is that you will use this program and this car as a reminder of this wonderful gift. The gift of life, the gift of hope and the gift of freedom," prayed Chaplain Dale Perkins.

Allen's wife and youngest daughter pulled back the tarp of the new Camaro in honor of Allen. A lot of heavy donations went into the making of the car. It took two weeks for East Texas Wraps and Ink Wrap Shop out of Tulsa, Oklahoma to complete the build.

The car is a reminder for those who may drive by that men and women just like Trooper Allen put their lives at risk each and every day.

"Just an all around Troop. Loved his job, loved his community and loved his family," said Bubba Carter, Allen's fellow Trooper and friend. "It's good to see this happen. We're so thankful for it."

Allen's friends said he was like a brother to them in and out of uniform.

"Damon never met a stranger, he could talk to anybody out here today and like a friend with them before he left," added Cpl. Chet Seelinger. "He probably loved his job more than anybody."

Now there's a new ride hitting the streets in his honor, because when a hero dies, an angel rises.

While their main focus is to honor fallen officers, Cops 4 Cops Texas also provides law enforcement with supplies, equipment and training. The Camaro will be driven by Colston to charity events and funeral escorts.

Other sponsors for the Thin Blue Line Camaro include: Rapid Lube, P2 Concepts, Shuyler Signs, North Texas Vehicle Warnings Solutions, TRCA, TAC Solar and Wellborn's Diesel.

What a fine tribute to our fallen hero(s)!
