Dana Mersiovsky has joined Child Advocates of Fort Bend as Development Officer. Mersiovsky, a Fort Bend County native, comes to CAFB with a wealth of experience in donor relations, marketing, business development and events. Prior to joining Child Advocates of Fort Bend, she served as the Director of Donor/Community Relations and Special Events for CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare in Houston.

“We are excited to have Dana as a part of the CAFB family,” stated Child Advocates of Fort Bend CEO Ruthanne Mefford. “Dana will be a great addition to our team. Not only does she have invaluable experience but she has a history of involvement with CAFB, having served on the Gala committee for several years.”

An active community member, Mersiovsky serves on the Events & Functions Committee for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and as a committee member for the Fort Bend County Fair. In addition, she is a member of the East End Chamber of Commerce, Association of Fundraising Professionals, and Association of Healthcare Philanthropy.

Mersiovsky and her husband live in Richmond. They have two daughters.

Child Advocates of Fort Bend is a non-profit agency dedicated to ending child abuse by

providing a voice, healing the hurt, and breaking the cycle of child abuse in Fort Bend County. Through its Court Appointed Special Advocates Program (CASATM), Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) and more than 200 trained community volunteer advocates, Child Advocates improves the lives of more than 400 children each month and has served more than 14,500 children since opening its doors in 1991. Volunteers are needed to help in the agency’s Children’s Advocacy Center and in the Court Appointed Special Advocates Program.

 

The agency’s annual gala and auction raises much needed funds to support its programs.
