Constable Mark Herman's Environmental Crimes Unit is an investigative unit dedicated to the protection of the Harris County environment. This unit readily responds, documents, investigates, and ultimately prosecutes those who threaten our surroundings through illegally disposing of household garbage, furniture, construction debris, and hazardous chemicals. This unit also investigates illegal signage on public roadways known as, bandit signs.

 

On June 18, 2018 Constable Investigators received a citizen complaint of a person impeding the flow of traffic on a public roadway in order to place these illegal bandit signs. A follow up investigation was conducted and the suspect, Timothy Scott Reimers, was identified as the person seen placing these illegal signs. Reimers was issued a citation for Placing Unauthorized Sign on Right of Way.
