Accepting applications for the following position:
Police Officer

Starting Salary: Cadet - $39,973.78/yr.  Officer - $46,474.74/yr. 

The Dickinson Police Department will be hosting an entry level test on April 5th, 2017. To be eligible applicants must have a Basic TCOLE Peace Officer certification, or be currently enrolled in a TCOLE approved Police Academy.

Applicants currently enrolled in a Police Academy will be considered a Cadet and eligible for the Cadet pay classification listed above. Applicants with a Basic TCOLE Peace Officer license or higher will be eligible for the Officer pay classification listed above. Successful applicants must pass a written entrance examination, comprehensive background investigation and physical assessment. Essential Job Requirements will be posted at City Hall, the Police Department and on the City website. Benefits include: Health Insurance Package, Longevity Pay, Certification Pay, Degree Pay & Bi-lingual Pay.
