Press Release
November 10, 2017

On 11-09-2017 at 6:12 P.M. Officers responded to the 300 block of Stone Ave in regards to a
warrant arrest. Officers made contact with Tiffany Cox (24 YOA female) who was found to have an
outstanding warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Cox was placed under arrest for the warrant.

On 11-09-2017 at 10:30 P.M. Officers executed a search warrant on a residence in the 400 block
of Fitzhugh. Officers made contact with Jimmy Mills (49 YOA male) and Cassandra Hesler (23 YOA
female) who were found to be in possession of approximately ¼ ounce of methamphetamine. Both were
placed under arret for manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance. Mills was also found to have
an outstanding parole violation warrant and a misdemeanor warrant and was charged with those warrants.

On 11-09-2017 at 8:49 P.M. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Graham and as
a result made contact with Roy Washington (48 YOA male). Washington fled on foot from officers and
was observed to throw something as he was running. Washington was apprehended about a block away
from where the pursuit began. In the location where Washington had thrown the item officers were able to
locate a small baggie containing methamphetamine. Washington was placed under arrest for possession of
a controlled substance and evading arrest. Due to a previous conviction for evading arrest that charge was
enhanced to a felony.

On 11-09-2017 at 7:43 P.M. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Clemet Road
and as a result made contact with Leslie Young (39 YOA female). Young was found to be in possession
fo two Clonazepam tablets and drug paraphernalia. Officers observed Young to have something in her
mouth and she admitted to swallowing methamphetamine. Young was placed under arrest and charged
with tampering with physical evidence, manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance, and a
misdemeanor charge.

On 11-09-2017 at 10:50 A.M. Officers spoke with a complainant in the PD lobby in regards to a forgery complaint. Officers were told that a known suspect had altered a check which had been written to the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
On 11-09-2017 at 4:52 P.M. Officers spoke with a complainant in the PD lobby in regards to a theft of a firearm complaint. Officers were told that an unknown suspect had entered the complainant’s vehicle at an unknown location and took a .40 caliber handgun. The investigation is ongoing.

****Update from the Press Release from 11-09-2017*****

On 11-08-2017 at 7:03 P.M. Officers responded to the 700 block of SW Loop 286 in regards to an auto/predestrian accident. Upon arrival Officers found that Tammy Cantrell (46) of Paris had been struck by a 2014 Ford F150 while she was walking in the roadway. Cantrell was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Paris Police responded to 90 calls for service and arrested 6 persons over the past 24 hours ending at 6:00 A.M. on November 10, 2017.
