On Wednesday, May 30th 2018, at approximately 7:00pm, a Galveston Police Department patrol officer conducted a traffic stop in the 5100 block of Ave J on a black Nissan Sentra.  During the traffic stop the officer discovered that the driver, identified as 23 year old Juan De Dios Donjuan, was not in possession of a driver’s license and that the vehicle was uninsured.  A wrecker was subsequently requested to tow the uninsured Nissan and during the inventory of the vehicle the officer discovered 19 kilos of cocaine in the trunk, prepared and packaged for transport and bulk distribution.

Houston resident Donjuan was arrested and charged with Manufacturing/Delivering a Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 1) of over 400 grams, with a bond set at $300,000.  The origin and destination of the narcotics is still unknown at this time.

No respect for the laws of this country; no drivers license; no insurance -- was the vehicle stolen? Won't work to ship him back to his home country - he'll probably just sneak back into the country & repeat his crime. Worse yet - murder someone!!!
