Apr. 18 (2:39 p.m.) A tractor theft was reported in the 300 block of Whispering Pines. The theft occurred in November 2021 during the demolition of a home. The owner allowed one of the contractors to borrow the tractor, but it was never returned.  The 2019 SVL 75-2W Kubota skid steer front load tractor is orange and black.  A Kubota bucket, attached to the tractor, was also stolen. The suspect was contacted by police and advised that he was holding the tractor because the owner owed him money.
 
Fraud
 
Apr. 21 (5:44 p.m.)  A Friendswood woman received an email from Chime bank regarding a new account.  She contacted the bank, and the account was closed. The suspect opened the account using her personal identifying information.
 
Criminal Mischief
 
Apr. 21 (12:50 p.m.) Two tires were slashed on a vehicle parked at the Baywood Apartments located at 5025 FM 2351. The vandalism occurred between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. A juvenile male from a nearby apartment complex is suspected.
 
Assault
 
Apr. 21 (9:00 p.m.) Kaylee Michelle Coyle, 25, of Friendswood, was charged with Assault on a Public Servant. Officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 100 block of Stratmore Drive. A family member reported that Coyle was destroying property and had been drinking alcohol all day. When police arrived, Coyle was outside. They contacted Coyle, who became aggressive and uncooperative.  During Coyle’s arrest, she kicked her legs and struck a police officer in the chest and knocked the officer to the ground. Coyle’s violent behavior continued as she kicked the inside of the patrol unit all the way to the jail.
 
Kirkland Thomas Harris, 27, of Alvin, was arrested on a warrant charging him with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. He was arrested in the 300 block of W. Shadowbend Avenue on April 25, 2022. The warrant resulted after Harris allegedly assaulted a man in the 500 block of Kingsbury Lane on March 25, 2022. Harris left the scene before police officers arrived.
 
Narcotics
 
Apr. 21 (2:38 a.m.) Joseph Jarrett Dishroon, 21, of Alvin, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Dishroon was driving in the 2000 block of W. Parkwood Avenue.  When he saw the police officer, he appeared to be nervous and slowed down to 30 mph in a 45-mph zone and abruptly took a left turn onto Desota. A few minutes later, Dishroon came out of the subdivision and back onto W. Parkwood Avenue.  He saw the police officer and abruptly turned into the Sunmeadow subdivision.  He returned onto W. Parkwood, making a wide right turn, and was stopped. Dishroon and his 15-year-old passenger exited the vehicle.  The officer asked Dishroon if he had anything illegal inside the vehicle.  He told the officer he had a couple of bongs.  A search was conducted and yielded a grocery bag full of drug paraphernalia – marijuana cigarettes, lighters, rolling trays, rolling papers, roach clips, THC vape cartridges, THC wax residue, a digital scale, a glass pipe, wooden grinder, and more.
 
Apr. 25 (12:19 a.m.) Rosalinda Cab, 27, of Pearland, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1. She was a passenger in a vehicle stopped in the 300 block of W. Edgewood Drive for driving without tail lamps. During the contact, the officer detected the smell of marijuana. A search was conducted, and Cab was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
 
Driving While Intoxicated
 
Apr. 20 (2:25 a.m.) Larry Shun Hudson, 49, of League City, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated in the 1100 block of S. Friendswood Drive. Hudson was asleep inside his vehicle at the intersection of S. Friendswood Drive and Whispering Pines. A witness stopped and tried to wake him up by honking his horn, but Hudson did not respond.  When an officer arrived, he opened the door, turned off the ignition, and woke up the driver. Hudson exhibited signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test.
 
Apr. 22 (12:53 a.m.) Carlos Antonio Arteaga, 28, of Houston, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated in the 800 block of N. Friendswood Drive. Arteaga was stopped for a license plate violation. He exhibited signs of intoxication and had alcoholic beverages in plain view. He failed a field sobriety test.
 
Apr. 23 (2:10 a.m.) Tyler James Buster, 28, of Friendswood, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Carrying Weapons in the 1500 block of Regency Court. Buster was stopped for speeding.  During the contact, he exhibited signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test. The passenger, Brandon James Kearns, 31, of Alvin, was charged with Public Intoxication.
 
Apr. 23 (2:25 a.m.) Melinda Theresa Hinojosa, 55, of League City, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Carrying Weapons in the 800 block of S. Friendswood Drive. Hinojosa was stopped for speeding. She exhibited signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test. Once in custody, a gun was found inside the vehicle.
 
Apr. 23 (3:39 a.m.) Samuel Sanchez, 35, of Alvin, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated in the 1100 block of W. Edgewood Drive. He was stopped by a Pasadena police officer for suspicious of driving while intoxicated. When a Friendswood officer arrived, Sanchez exhibited signs of intoxication and failed a field sobriety test.
 
Trespass
 
Apr. 21 (6:36 a.m.) Broderick Jerome Sasser, 32, of Houston, was charged with Criminal Trespass.  Officers responded to the 400 block of Cottonwood Drive where Sasser was involved in a verbal disturbance and trespassing.  The witness said Sasser walked up a driveway and attempted to contact a child who was leaving the residence and going to school. The police were called, and Sasser fled from the scene. Sasser has been warned many times not to return to this same residence.  His bond was set at $5,000.
 
Traffic
 
Apr. 20 (4:48 p.m.) Mark Steven Fleckenstein, Jr. 36, of Pearland, was charged with Driving While License Invalid. Fleckenstein was driving a stolen vehicle in the 1600 block of Broadway Street in Pearland. The vehicle was stolen in Houston. Fleckenstein claimed that he rented the vehicle through an app called “Hired”. He did not have a valid driver’s license. During the contact, the officer detected the smell of marijuana.  The passenger was found in possession of drug paraphernalia and given a citation.
 
Apr. 24 (10:40 p.m.) Lauryn Kaitlyn Hicks, 23, of Houston, was charged with Driving While License Invalid in the 100 block of E. Parkwood Drive. Hicks was driving a stolen vehicle. She told police that she was given permission to drive the vehicle by a friend and provided the friend’s information. Since the owner of the vehicle was incarcerated and his family members were not able to contact Hicks to get the vehicle back.
