Retired Detective Willie J. Kovar passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022,
at the age of 85. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Wanda L. Kovar. He
joined the Houston Police Department on April 28, 1958, Academy Class
#18. During his tenure with the department, he
was assigned to the Patrol Bureau, Robbery Division, and Auto Theft
Division. Detective Kovar retired on February 29, 1980.
