MOLALLA, Ore. — A man opened fire on police officers and civilians from inside a home near Leroy Avenue and West Main Street in Molalla Monday morning, according to police. 

The Clackamas County District Attorney's Office identified the suspect as 48-year-old Brian Scott Mills. 

Molalla Police Chief Frank Schoenfeld said officers were initially responding to the house for a medical call when they got word that a man had put on body armor.
