Sept. 28 (8:05 p.m.) Forklift forks
were stolen from a forklift located in the 400 block of S. Friendswood
Drive. The owner received a tamper notification at approximately 6:40
Sept. 29 (9:27 a.m.) A white 2007 Chevrolet Suburban with Texas license plates
CBL4364 was stolen from the driveway of a residence in the 0 block of
Wilderness Trails. The vehicle was left unlocked with the keys in the ignition.
The theft occurred sometime overnight.
Oct. 1 (3:45 p.m.) A theft was reported at the HEB store located at 701 W.
Parkwood Avenue. A white female stole beer and left the store. She
was observed getting into a black Ford pickup. An officer stopped the suspect
during a traffic stop at Scenic Hills and West Blvd. The suspect was identified
as Vasi Lia Gerbesoti, 17, of League City. The driver, was identified as
Daniel Lee Marquez, 17, of League City. Both were issued citations
charging them with Theft.
Sept. 27 (1:01 p.m.) Jonathan Marijah Lee Williams, 34, of Houston, was charged
with Tampering with a Government Document. A routine check of a temporary paper
tag showed that it was voided. A traffic stop was conducted in the 3900 block
of E. FM 528. Williams was taken into custody after admitting to using the
temporary tag to avoid tolls.
Sept. 27 (2:15 p.m.) A Friendswood man reported an unauthorized and fraudulent
withdrawal from his bank account. The bank told the victim that the
withdrawal was made via ACH and was deposited into a bank in Africa.
Sept. 27 (2:29 p.m.) A Friendswood resident reported identity theft when
she discovered that someone opened a TXU Energy account using her personal
identifying information. The service address was in Houston and the
account had an unpaid balance.
Sept. 29 (9:24 a.m.) A Friendswood resident reported the fraudulent use of his
personal identifying information to open a Verizon account.
Sept. 29 (10:54 a.m.) A Friendswood woman discovered that her bank account was
flagged for fraudulent activity. She went to the bank and found that someone
had been added to her account as an approved user. Once on the account,
the man went to several Chase bank locations and made large withdrawals.
Sept. 30 (9:19 a.m.) A Friendswood resident received a fraud alert for his
credit card for a $1 charge. Then, he received another fraud alert for another
credit card on Walmart.com. The charge was declined.
Sept. 30 (10:30 a.m.) A Friendswood woman received an email from her company
advising that her personal identifying information was fraudulently used to
make an unemployment claim.
Oct. 3 (9:06 p.m.) A resident in the 1800 block of Presideo reported criminal
mischief. He believes that someone has been shooting a pellet at his
residence and showed the officer two holes in a glass window. Officers made
contact with a resident and her 15-year old son in the 1800 block of Palo Duro
where the officers determined that the pellets came from by their trajectory.
The mother refused to allow her son to answer any of the police officers’
questions. The case is under investigation.
Sept. 27 (10:40 a.m.) Rommel Valdez, Jr., 22, of Friendswood, was charged with
Assault by Contact-Family Violence on September 27th at 1:24
a.m. Valdez was accused of assaulting his girlfriend at the Bellevue
Apartments located at 17231 Blackhawk Blvd. He was released from jail
after posting bond and went straight to his girlfriend’s apartment – a direct
violation of the Emergency Protective Order that was signed by a judge and
given to him prior to leaving the jail facility. Valdez is now charged with
Violation of a Protective Order. He was arrested at the Bellevue Apartments
located at 17231 Blackhawk Blvd at 12:10 p.m.
Sept. 28 (1:04 a.m.) Gabriel Aaron Standley, 24, of Friendswood, was charged
with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 and Unlawful
Carrying Weapons. Standley was stopped for speeding in the 1500 block of S.
Friendswood Drive. As the officer approached the vehicle, Standley rolled down
the window and marijuana smoke came billowing out. When asked if he had
marijuana, Standley advised that he had a blunt he was smoking in the ashtray
and a firearm under the driver’s seat. The officer conducted a search and found
the gun and three pills that tested positive for methamphetamine.
Sept. 29 (2:42 a.m.) Ruben Dale Jones, 37, of Holiday Lakes, was charged with
Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1. Jones was stopped
for failure to signal a lane change in the 3000 block of W. Parkwood Avenue.
Jones did not have proof of insurance and would only roll down his window
halfway and lit up a cigarette. Jones was displaying nervous behavior and
when asked if he had anything illegal inside the vehicle, he told the officer
that he had a marijuana pipe. A search of the vehicle yielded psilocybin
(mushrooms), methamphetamine and marijuana.
Sept. 29 (3:42 p.m.) Logan Bryce Terry, 21, of Pearland, and Alina Annie Alex,
19, of Rosharon, were charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Terry was
stopped for expired registration in the 5100 block of FM 2351. During the
contact, the officer detected the smell of marijuana. As Alex exited the
vehicle, the officer noticed a baggie of marijuana on the floorboard. A
search was conducted and the officer found various drug paraphernalia.
Sept. 30 (12:43 a.m.) An officer attempted to make a stop on a vehicle in the
5000 block of FM 2351 for expired registration, no insurance and a lighting
violation. The driver failed to stop and continued traveling east on FM
2351 striking the cub and swerving into the adjacent lane. Eventually, the
vehicle came to a stop in the 4500 block of FM 2351. Corey Preston Dearman, 31,
of Alvin, was identified as the driver and Loretta Hanlon Yates, 51, of Alvin,
was a passenger. The officer searched the vehicle and found several ripped open
baggies containing methamphetamine. Dearman had ingested a majority of the
methamphetamine and had to be taken to a local hospital. Dearman was charged
with Evading Arrest or Detention and Possession of a Controlled Substance in
Penalty Group 1. Yates was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Oct. 2 (1:26 a.m.) Bruce Anthony Chavez, 18, of Houston, and Miguel Granados,
Jr., 18, of Pasadena, were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in
Penalty Group 3 and Possession of Marijuana. Granados was stopped for expired
registration in the 400 block of W. Edgewood Drive. During the contact, the
officer detected the strong smell of marijuana. Granados claimed that he had
just a little bit of weed. A search was conducted and yielded marijuana and
Oct. 4 (12:00 a.m.) Rafael Jose Pena, 22, of Houston, was charged with
Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Pena was driving with only
one headlight and no insurance in the 100 block of E. Edgewood Drive. During
the contact, the officer detected the smell of marijuana and observed a digital
scale on the dash, in plain view. Pena could only provide an ID card and once
removed from the vehicle, he stated that he had marijuana and cocaine in a
backpack. Pena also had an outstanding felony warrant in Harris County for
Aggravated Robbery. The passenger, Emily Orozco Gomez, 23, of Houston, was charged
with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Driving While Intoxicated
Sept. 28 (11:15 p.m.) Theresa Garcia Schuelke, 53, of Pasadena, was charged
with Driving While Intoxicated in the 100 block of E. Edgewood Drive. Schuelke
was stopped for speeding. She exhibited signs of intoxication and failed a
field sobriety test. Schuelke also had a suspended driver’s license for a DWI
in February 2021.
Sept. 29 (12:05 a.m.) Mayra Karina Rangel, 33, of League City, was charged with
Driving While Intoxicated in the 3900 block of Laura Leigh Lane. Rangel was
stopped for speeding. She exhibited signs of intoxication and failed a field
Oct. 3 (12:36 a.m.) Aeriana Jasmine Ramos Cooper, 24, of Alvin, was charged
with Driving While Intoxicated in the 2000 block of W. Parkwood Avenue. Ramos
Cooper was stopped for a license plate violation. She exhibited signs of
intoxication and failed a field sobriety test.
Oct. 4 (2:25 a.m.) Dellaney Michelle Wimberly, 22, of Pearland, was charged
with Driving While Intoxicated. An officer noticed that she was stopped five
feet past the designated stopping point at a red light. Once the light
turned green, Wimberly was having difficulty maintaining a single lane and was
stopped in the 1500 block of E. Winding Way. During the contact, Wimberly
exhibited signs of intoxication including the strong smell of alcohol. She
failed a field sobriety test. The passenger, Tyler Lane Stavinoha, 25, of
Pearland, was charged with Public Intoxication.
Sept. 27 (7:11 p.m.) Ronnie Davis Holmes, 40, of Friendswood, was charged with
Public Intoxication in the 3200 block of W. Parkwood Avenue. Holmes and his
girlfriend were involved in an argument. While interviewing Holmes, he
exhibited signs of intoxication.
Sept. 29 (2:07 a.m.) Cody Allen Hadley, 32, of Bacliff, was charged with Public
Intoxication. Officers were called to a residence in the 16500 block of
Barcelona Drive where the caller’s ex-boyfriend had been throwing objects at
the windows for the past hour. The officer contacted Hadley, determined
that he was intoxicated and took him into custody.
Oct. 1 (12:07 a.m.) Dwayne Bruce Blankenship, 40, of Friendswood, was charged
with Public Intoxication. An officer noticed a suspicious vehicle parked
in the parking lot of a closed business in the 700 block of W. Parkwood Avenue.
Blankenship was asleep inside his vehicle with the engine running. Once awake,
he was determined to be too intoxicated to drive home and he was unable to call
for a sober ride.
Oct. 2 (4:01 p.m.) An officer was flagged down in the100 block of E. Edgewood
Drive. A Lyft driver was having trouble with an intoxicated passenger.
Geneva Ann Mansel, 42, of La Porte, was intoxicated and screaming. She
was asked to exit the vehicle. At that time, she was taken into custody
and charged with Public Intoxication.
Sept. 30 (11:28 a.m.) A Friendswood officer observed Jeremy Duane Brock, 44, of
Webster, inside a vehicle in the 200 block of Melody Lane. The officer had
prior knowledge that Brock had outstanding warrants. A marked Friendswood
police unit conducted a traffic stop and took Brock into custody for the
Criminal Trespass warrant. The driver, Cole Everett Dockall, 40, of
Seabrook, was charged with Driving While License Invalid.
