TCSO Investigating Homicide

At 10:16 pm on October 21, 2021, deputies responded to a report of a 17 year-old male with a gunshot wound in the 8000 block of Decker Ln. When deputies arrived on scene, they found the victim in a car, in immediate need of medical attention. The victim was treated by ATCEMS, who transported him to a local hospital, where he later died.

Detectives worked throughout the night, conducting interviews and collecting evidence at the scene. They were able to identify a suspect and the afternoon of October 22, 2021, they obtained and executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence.

The suspect, LEO SANDERS, 17 of Austin was arrested at 2:00 pm on October 22, 2021. He will be booked into the Travis County Jail, charged with Murder.

This is the sixth homicide TCSO has investigated this year.
