Retired Police Officer Marion Alan “Ma” Bishop passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at the age of 82. Officer Bishop joined the Houston Police Department on December 28, 1959, Academy Class #23. During his career with the department, he was assigned to the Traffic Point Control Division, Training Division, Traffic Enforcement Division and the North Shepherd Division until his retirement on April 24, 1981.
