Houston police are attempting to track down a man accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend.

Kwanmaine Boyd, 25, allegedly shot and killed Cavanna Smith, 25, on Oct. 6, one day after an ultrasound confirmed she was four and a half weeks pregnant, according to officials with the Houston Police Department. 

Officers found Smith lying in the middle of the street at 800 Reid Street around 6:53 a.m. that day with a gunshot wound to her head.
