During the Justice of the Peace and Constable Association of Texas Education Conference, held on June 27-July 1, 2022
in College Station, TX, Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden was presented with the “Best Practices Award”. The “Best
Practices Award” is presented yearly to the office or individual who embodies innovation and creativity in their work.
With the JPCA being the largest organization of elected officials in the State of Texas, and with approximately 780
Constables across the state; this is a huge honor for Constable Hayden.
The award highlights Constable Hayden’s work in bringing healing resources to those in need ‘after the cuffs are
removed’. With almost 21 million Americans having at least 1 addiction, yet only 10% of them receive treatment,
Constable Hayden knew he had to do something to help, and the Constable 180 program is it. By showing there is hope
and help available to those who want it so that they can break the addiction cycle. Our ground breaking “Constable
180” program highlights those that have made a positive change in their life, broke the addiction cycle, and hopefully
