Paris Police located 25 year old Tara Dawn George in the 1200 block of W Cherry St.
and knew that she had an outstanding felony warrant out of the Lamar County Sheriffs
Department. Officers confirmed the warrant to be for unauthorized absence from a
community correction facility and placed her under arrest. George was later placed in the
Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of SE 17th St at 11:00 P.M. on
November 9, 2022. The driver, Byron Kennyth Long, 49, of Paris, was found to have two
outstanding Municipal Court warrants. After Long was arrested, Officers located THC wax
inside the vehicle along with other drug paraphernalia. Long was charged with possession
of a controlled substance. He is awaiting transfer to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 80 calls for service and arrested 8 persons on November
9, 2022.
