(FORT BEND, TX) Fort Bend County Judge KP George, newly elected, and re-elected officials took their
oath of office on New Years day in front of family, friends, and county officials during the special ceremony
held at the Fort Bend County Justice Center, Jury Assembly Room, 1422 Eugene Heimann Circle Richmond,
TX 77469.

A total of 20 elected officials, which included 12 newly elected officials, were sworn in by Fort Bend County
Judge KP George. Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher (TX-07) swore in Judge George, who will serve his second
term in office, prior to the start of the program during a private ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Congressman Al Green
(TX-09) attended as a special guest speaker for the ceremony.

Judge George reminded the 12 newly elected officials to focus on the citizens while executing their roles
stating, Many of you being sworn in today, you have a plan for how you will lead, for how you will judge, for
how you will hold office. I ask all of you to never forget.....the people. That is why we are all here today, it is to
serve the people of Fort Bend County to the very best of our ability.

In his closing words, Judge George emphasized the work that lies ahead for all of those elected to their
respective offices stating, Our nation and our County are built on a promise that achieving your dreams is
possible regardless of race, religion, income, or gender identity, but we have so much work to do to make
those dreams real for everyone.
