Retired Senior Police Officer John A. Oglesby, III passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at the age of 61. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kristi Oglesby. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He joined the Houston Police Department on January 9, 1984, Academy Class #118. During his tenure with the department, he was assigned to the Northwest, Jail, Central, Vice, Southeast, Traffic Enforcement, and Vehicular Crimes Divisions. Senior Police Officer Oglesby retired on June 17, 2006. 

 

The body is entrusted with Freund Funeral Home, 213 North Gonzales Street, Cuero, Texas 77954 (361) 275-2343.

 

A visitation will be held before the Memorial Service at Lifeway Baptist Church, 403 East Sarah Street, Cuero, Texas 77954 (361) 275-3920, on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Memorial Service will start at 11:00 a.m.
