(CEDAR PARK, TX) Officer Keco Motton was arrested today, May 5th, 2023 by the Texas Rangers for sexual assault, which isa second degree felony. This stems from an allegation made to the department on Thursday, May 4th, 2023.

After the victim came forward, the Cedar Park Police Department immediately responded and contacted the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office and the Texas Rangers to investigate the allegations independently.


“We take allegations of sexual assault seriously and support all victims of crime,” said Police Chief Mike Harmon.  “It is alarming when those allegations involve a law enforcement officer.”


We expect our officers to set an example and uphold our guiding values of Community, Empathy, Accountability, and Honor.

The alleged actions of this individual, as described in the arrest affidavit, are contrary to our values.

onger employed by the City of Cedar Park. Officer Motton was with the Cedar Park Police Department for 10 years.


The Cedar Park Police Department will continue to support and coordinate with the ongoing Texas Rangers’ investigation.
