A Precinct 2 Deputy was on duty Monday at the Montgomery County Precinct 2 Courthouse when a male who was there on a misdemeanor assault charge continued with loud vulgar comments about how long it was taking. He then struck the female he was with. The deputy attempted to detain him but he fled out of the building. The Precinct 2 Deputy called for assistance and went after the male who was identified as Jose Luis Medelez Jr., 39, of 78 Barley Hall in Spring.  The deputy was able to take Medelez into custody. Medelez was also found to be in possession of narcotics. A short time later a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy coming to assist found a dog tied to a truck in the courthouse parking lot. They then discovered the dog was owned by Medelez.  He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on charges of continuous violence against the family. His bond was set at $20,000.
