Retired Police Officer Donald R. Schmidt passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the age of 73. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Floy Evon H. Schmidt. He joined the Houston Police Department on January 13, 1969, Academy Class #40. During his tenure with the department, he was assigned to the Central, Emergency Communications, and Northwest Divisions. Police Officer Schmidt retired on July 23, 1994.
