This report provides results from a survey conducted of the administrators of the state criminal history record repositories—the 14th survey since 1989. It covers the status of—

  • state criminal history files
  • biometric and image data
  • protection order information
  • warrants and wanted persons
  • accessibility of records and services through state repositories
  • technology refreshment
  • noncriminal justice background checks.
