HOUSTON- Prosecutors filed four felony charges Tuesday against a man in connection with the shooting of two Harris County Constable Pct. 4 deputies.

Wesley Adam Smith, 31, is charged with four counts of aggravated assault on a public servant for the incident, according to charging documents filed by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. 

The penalty range on each charge is five to 99 years or life.
 
Two officers were shot and two were threatened during the incident, which unfolded on April 17 at approximately 1:50 a.m. on Saratoga Woods Lane, in Atascocita.

Prosecutors have asked Smith be held on $500,000 bond.
