“BATTLE OF THE BADGES”
BLOOD DRIVE
The Plano Police and Fire Departments
will go head-to-head to battle for the lives of patients in the community. It’s
the 14th annual “Battle of the Badges” blood drive and everyone is encouraged
and invited to participate. The event will begin on July 1, 2018 and run
through July 8, 2018; blood donations will be taken at several locations
throughout the week. Local merchants participate by donating items to be added
to a gift bag available to donors which makes this a true community
effort. Each donor will also receive a free t-shirt.
The Department that collects the most
votes will receive the coveted “Battle of the Badges” trophy to display at
their headquarters for the entire year.
Everyone is a winner in this
competition and the Police and Fire Departments appreciate your support for the
community. Come and support the Departments in the ultimate battle for
life. For location and time information, visit www.planopolice.org in the calendar section.
Donors must be at least 16 years of
age (with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good general
health. If you would like further information about donor qualifications please
contact Carter Bloodcare at 1-800-DONATE-4 or visit the website at carterbloodcare.org.
