Investigation into Fatal Crash at 8000 Hempstead Highway


Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8000 Hempstead Highway about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday (September 16).  

Two male victims were pronounced dead at the scene.  Their identities are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Klementich and Officer M. Romo reported:  

A white Lexus IS 250 was traveling northbound on Washington Avenue when the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a tree in the median.  Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the driver and the passenger deceased.  

The investigation is continuing.

Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7629 West Bellfort Avenue


The fatal shooting of a robbery suspect at 7629 West Bellfort Avenue about 12:10 a.m. on Saturday (September 15) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.  

The identity of the male suspect, 35, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

The male shooter, a security guard, 32, was not injured in the incident.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective K. Heaverlo reported:  

According to witnesses, a black male suspect, with his face partially covered and armed with a pistol, entered a restaurant at the above address and fired at least one shot as he approached the cash register.  A uniformed security guard inside the business returned fire and struck the suspect, who died at the scene.  

No other persons were injured in the shooting.

Investigation into Shooting at 6602 Madrid Street


Houston police are investigating the shooting of two men at 6602 Madrid Street about 10:40 p.m. on Friday (September 14).  

The victims, Terrell Williams, 18, and James Howard, 20, suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and were transported to an area hospital in good condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers V. Habukiha and J. Hasley reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found both men had been shot.  Witnesses reported seeing a silver sedan fleeing the scene southbound on Madrid towards Yellowstone.

Investigation into Shooting at 5601 Royal Palms


Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile male at 5601 Royal Palms about 8:25 p.m. on Saturday (September 15).  

The victim, 16, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers G. Black and S. Ragsdale reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found the victim had been shot in the shoulder.  Further investigation determined a silver vehicle was seen driving by when the rear passenger rolled down the window and fired multiple shots toward the victim.  The driver then fled southbound on Royal Palms toward Griggs Road.

The vehicle is described only as a silver four-door car.

Investigation into Male Found Shot at 10201 Kingspoint


Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male found at 10201 Kingspoint about 7:55 a.m. last Friday (September 14). 

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Miller and Detective D. Stark reported: 

The victim was found deceased at Beverly Hills Park at the above address. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. 

At this time, there are no known witnesses nor suspects.
