Every nine seconds in the U.S. a woman is assaulted or beaten, and it is estimated that up to ten million children witness some form of domestic violence every year.
Join your League City neighbors and members of the League City Police Department on Thursday, October 18, in front of the League City Public Safety building for a candlelight vigil

as part of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Galveston County District Attorney Jack Roady will speak about domestic violence issues that we are facing today.

Donations of female personal hygiene products will be accepted at the event, with all donations given to the Resource and Crisis Center of Galveston County.
