Burglary
suspect escapes police custody
Khaled
Abdelrahman Azzeh, 31, of Webster, was arrested at 4:39 p.m. on October 20
when a resident in the 3500 block of Arezzo Circle reported Azzeh as a
suspicious person, opening vehicle doors and peering into windows. He
ran from police and was charged with Evading Arrest and booked into the
Friendswood City Jail.
At
3:00 a.m. on October 21, a Friendswood officer transported Azzeh to the
Harris County Jail in downtown Houston. As the female officer
escorted Azzeh to the inmate processing area, he pushed her down and
escaped on foot. He was still in handcuffs and wearing a jail uniform
shirt. The Friendswood officer and a Harris County jailer pursued him on
foot. Harris County Sheriff deputies and Houston Police Department,
including a Police K-9, searched the area, but Azzeh was not found.
Azzeh
is suspected of multiple burglaries in the Terra Bella and Autumn Creek
neighborhoods. He is described as a white male, 6-feet tall, 200
pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a star
with a skull on his shoulder, a tattoo of a panther on one arm and a tattoo
of a clown with a gun on his back.
At the
time of his escape, Azzeh was already out of jail on a $15,000 bond in
Harris County for felony vehicle theft. A warrant charging Azzeh with Escape
is pending.
