On November 09, 2018 at 10:45 PM, the Montgomery County Precinct Three Constables Office received a 911 call in the 2400 block of Colonial Springs Lane in Spring, TX. The female caller told Dispatch she was at the home of a female friend when, a domestic disturbance occurred. The caller said her friend’s husband threatened her and her friend with a handgun. The caller said she was able to run away to safety and was no longer at the residence, but her friend was still at the residence.

While the PCT 3 Constable Deputies were on the way, a second 911 call was reported to dispatch. This time it was from the female inside the residence. She reported that she shot her husband and requested help. Deputies arrived on location and found a female whom was the second caller, suffering from a bleeding injury to the face. Deputies found Terrance Theus, a thirty year old, black male, unresponsive with bleeding injuries on the floor in the master-bedroom. Montgomery County Hospital District medics were summoned to the residence and said Mr. Thesus was deceased. Deputies found two children inside of the home, ages five and eight. The children were unharmed and did not witness this incident. Child Protective Services took custody of the children pending the outcome of the investigation. Precinct Three Deputies secured the residence until the arrival of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Detectives, MCSO Crime Scene Investigators, and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Detectives conducted interviews of the initial caller and the decedent’s spouse. According to statements obtained, the two females and the male were in the living-room of the residence when an altercation ensued. The decedent reportedly became angry and retrieved a handgun from the master-bedroom closet. The decedent reportedly struck his spouse in the face using the handgun causing the bleeding injury to her face. The initial caller fled the location and the decedent continued to physically assault his spouse using his fists and made threats to kill her and everyone in the house. The female spouse was able to get the handgun from the decedent and discharged the weapon striking him multiple times.

No arrests were made in this case during the investigation, and it will be presented to a Montgomery County Grand Jury.
