A man died in a fire that also displaced several residents at an apartment complex in southwest Houston Thursday night, according to the Houston Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived around 11:30 p.m. at the apartment on South Post Oak and Willowbend. They put out the blaze quickly but found one man on the floor in the closet of a back bedroom, HFD acting shift commander Chris Chavez said.
