On February 12, 2019, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to the Walgreen's located in the 3700 block of Atascocita Road in reference to a theft.

Prior to deputies arriving, they received information that a male suspect approached the sales counter with merchandise in order to get the sales clerk to open the cash drawer. Once the drawer was open, the suspect jumped over the counter, grabbed the money in the drawer and fled the location in a vehicle.

As deputies entered the gas station, the suspect fled from the location on foot. Deputies gave chase and were able to detain and identify him as Jemarcus Fontenot.   The stolen money and merchandise was recovered and returned to Walgreen's.
