At 7:03 a.m. we responded to Big Lots (809 S. Timberland Drive) to a report of an active shooter.

The suspect, Reagan Todd Horton, 48, of Lufkin, had been issued a criminal trespass warning for the location at 4:54 a.m. Horton was there harassing his former girlfriend as she and other employees arrived at work. Officers wrote him the warning and he left the location.

They made contact with the driver, identified as Horton, and took him into custody.

No Big Lots employees were injured during the incident.

Multiple felony charges are pending.

A big thanks to Angelina County Sheriff’s Office for taking Horton into custody.

Thanks,

Jessica Pebsworth
