On June 15, 2019 at approximately 12:28 a.m. Pearland Police were dispatched to a Dairy Queen restaurant located in the 11300 blk of Broadway St Pearland, Brazoria County, Texas. 

The Initial information provided indicated a robbery was in progress. 

The caller advised a male armed with a gun was inside the store and was holding another employee hostage. 

Officers arrived as the suspect was still inside. 

An officer confronted the armed suspect inside the restaurant and the suspect was shot and died at the scene. 

No officers, employees or civilians were hurt in the incident. Investigators are on scene conducting the investigation.

Good ending! Hope the employee(s) and officers involved get the support they need.

Good job Pearland PD...folks will learn (probably not) one of these days that PPD just don't play!! It's sad to take a life for any reason but thank goodness that officer got to go home!! Stay safe my brothers and sisters!!
