Shooting Investigation  

 

TEXAS CITY, TX October 29, 2019 at 3:49 PM, Texas City Police responded to reports of shots fired at the Westward Apartments, located at 123 N. Westward Street, Texas City.  Officers arrived on scene and detained two male subjects who had been involved in a verbal altercation that escalated when both males pulled weapons, and began firing at each other. One of the males detained at the scene did receive gunshot wound to the shoulder during the exchange and transported to UTMB by Texas City EMS, and released a short time later. This is an active investigation with charges pending.
