The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the driver that fled from a head-on school bus crash.

On October 14, 2019 a two vehicle crash occurred on the 3400 block of McCrary Road in the Richmond area of Fort Bend County.

The suspect was driving a gray pick-up truck and slammed into a school bus. The driver of the bus was not injured.

The suspect fled the scene and left his damaged truck.    

Benjamin Ayala, 33, of Houston was arrested on November 26, 2019. He is charged with Crash involving damage to a vehicle > $200. His bond has been set at $500.

“I want to thank the Traffic Unit for their hard work and diligence,” said Sheriff Troy Nehls. “We are now able to hold an individual responsible.”
