Police Officer Jason Michael Knox, assigned to the Air and Marine Division – Air Support Unit, died in the Line of Duty on Saturday, May 2, 2020, at the age of 35. His wife, Keira Knox survives him.

 

He started his law enforcement career as a Deputy with the Harris County Precinct 5 Constables Office, on August 5, 2006, until September 15, 2008. He also served with the Spring Valley Village Police Department, from September 16, 2008, until November 29, 2011.

 

He joined the Houston Police Department on December 5, 2011, Academy Class #212. During his tenure with the department, Officer Knox was also assigned to the Midwest Division and the Office of Public Affairs.

 

The body is entrusted with Earthman Funeral Directors – Hunters Creek, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024 (713) 465-8900.

 

A visitation that will be open to the public will be held at Houston’s First Baptist Church, 7401 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024 (713) 681-8000, on Friday, May 8, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

 

Funeral Services will be held at Houston’s First Baptist Church, on Saturday, May 9, 2020, starting at 11:00 a.m. Due to the COVID-19 protocols, the Funeral Services will be reserved to family and friends, members of the HPD Command Staff, Dignitaries, members of the Air and Marine Support Division, and members of Academy Class #212.

 

Full Police Honors for Officer Knox, which are open to all, will be presented after the Funeral Services outside the church. Social distancing protocols will be followed.

My heart cry’s for you for the loss, heartache and such void, of losing your precious Husband, Daddy, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Best Friend and Brother in Blue.
