Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 7800 Gallahad Street about 5:05 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 6).

 

The identity of the victim, 28, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant G. Dunn and Officer R. Waterwall reported:

 

Officers were dispatched to a Houston Fire Department station after a female victim with a gunshot wound was dropped off at the location.  Paramedics transported the woman to HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood where she was pronounced deceased.

 

Officers learned the shooting occurred in the roadway at the above address when two groups of people got into a disturbance.  At this time, there is no known suspect(s) description.
