Friendswood Police, with assistance from Deputy Constable Ross McCammon with Galveston County Constable Precinct 4 and League City Police, arrested two suspects involved in a purse theft at HEB, 701 W. Parkwood Avenue.  Friendswood Police responded to the HEB at 2:07 p.m. on September 10, 2020.

After an area-wide broadcast and tracking of the victim’s phone, the suspect vehicle, a grey Nissan Altima, was located in a shopping center at Interstate 45 and FM 646 in League City. The victim’s boyfriend was able to track and follow the suspects and provide detailed location information for the whereabouts of the victim’s phone as they left the Target on Bay Area Blvd and headed south on Interstate 45 into League City.  At the same time, Friendswood Police viewed HEB’s surveillance video and provided a description of the suspect vehicle and suspects.
Deputy Constable McCammon kept the suspect vehicle under surveillance in the Walmart parking lot and the suspects were taken into custody after they left Walmart and began to drive away from the parking lot.
Daquana Desharde Washington, 26, of Houston, and Addisha Gerrae Jackson, 25, of Spring, were charged with Credit Card Abuse of the Elderly-Enhanced, a 3rd degree felony.  Bond was set at $80,000 on each of them.
The suspects had two small children with them during their criminal activity.  They used the victim’s credit cards to make gift card purchases.  As the victim’s phone was receiving fraud alerts, the suspects confirmed the activity as not fraudulent. However, the suspects’ use of the victim’s phone ended up being their downfall.
Both suspects have pending charges similar in nature in Harris County and Montgomery County. Additionally, evidence found inside the vehicle suggests this was not the duo’s first crime of the day.
Most recently, Washington and Jackson were released on bond for Robbery and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity in Hays County on August 30, 2020.

Great job McCammon but I often wonder where these exotic names come from a misspelling?

Heard McCammon is being let go by Galveston County because of politics. Judge Henry didn't like the comments from McCammon regarding Justin West's qualifications for Constable and supported JD Alvarez
No independent thinking allowed when you go against Judge Henry and his commissioners

Its true McCammon is being terminated. Why? Because of politics. Go against Judge Henry and your gone. We had a chance to get rid of Henry during the last election but failed. I doubt if Judge Cox was elected that we would be reducing law enforcement positions under pressure from BLM. Hopefully this will provide the wakeup call to not only get rid of Henry but the rest of these commissioners who all supported this political decision
