Paris Police spoke with the victim of a fraud at 11:10 A.M. on November 8, 2022. The
victim reported that an ex-boyfriend had used her identifying information to obtain an
insurance policy. The incident is under investigation.

Paris Police located Cody Lane Neely, 20, of Paris, in the 1900 block of Cleveland St.
at 11:24 A.M. on November 8, 2022 and knew Neely had outstanding Municipal Court
warrants. Upon arresting Neely, he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and
drug paraphernalia. Neely was additionally charged with possession of a controlled
substance of less than 1 gram. Neely was booked into the city jail and is awaiting transfer to
the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 3800 block of Lamar Ave at 5:03 P.M. on
November 8, 2022, due to the officer recognizing the driver as 33 year old Jake Darren
Briggle, of Paris, and knew that Briggle had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest.
Briggle was wanted on a Lamar County Probation violation warrant where he is on
probation for a felony assault case. Briggle also had an outstanding Municipal Court
warrant on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Briggle was booked and is awaiting
transfer to the Lamar County Jail.

Gordon Lee Simmons, 65, of Paris, was arrested in the 3200 block of Clarksville St at
7:05 P.M. on November 8, 2022 on a Red River County Felony Bond Surrender warrant on a
Driving While Intoxicated - 3rd or More charge. Simmons was booked and transferred to
the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 65 calls for service and arrested 4 persons on November
8, 2022
