Applications available for July 23-26 academy for teens 15-18 years old

High school students are invited to join the men and women of the League City Police Department to explore a career in law enforcement. Students will experience a “behind the badge” view of core police functions and learn what it takes to become a police officer. The Academy is open to teens 15 to 18 years of age who reside in League City or attend a League City public or private school, including those who are homeschooled in League City. The academy is free of charge and space is limited. The academy is scheduled for July 23-26th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Cadets will learn about:

Patrol procedures

Positive team building activities
