A follow up on the arrest of Roderick Dewayne Scales that was reported on
September 29, 2022...Due to the warrant that the officers were attempting to serve, the
officers obtained a subsequent search warrant for the residence. While searching the
residence in the 1300 block of NE 20th St., Officers located and seized approximately 5
ounces of crack cocaine, 5 ounces of fentanyl, 12 pounds of synthetix Cannabinoids, 26
pounds of marijuana, paraphernalia, 7 handguns, and 2 assault rifles. The investigation
continues.
Terry Allan Pace, 61, of Paris, was arrested at the Paris District Parole Office on a
parole violation warrant at 9:09 A.M. on September 29, 2022. Pace was booked and later
transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
At 2:27 P.M. on September 29, 2022, Paris Police observed 21 year old Tommorris
Deon Gray walking in the middle of the road in the 800 block of W Cherry St. When officers
attempted to make contact with him, Morris ran through an abandoned house and evaded
officers. After a short footchase, Morris was apprehended and found to have numerous
warrants for his arrest including a felony Lamar County warrant charging him with
possession of a controlled substance of less than 1 gram. Morris was booked and placed in
the city jail and is waiting to be transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
Paris Police observed Amanda Lynn McBride, 40, of Paris, drop a black bag in a yard
in the 2300 block of Bonham St at 11:45 P.M. and walk away from it. The officer retrieved
the bag and found that it contained a small baggie of methamphetamine. The officer then
made contact with McBride and inquired about the found bag. McBride was then arrested
and charged with possession of a controlled substance of less than 1 gram. McBride was
booked and then transferred to the Lamar County Jail
