At approximately 12:52 p.m., on August 30th, 2019, League City Police Officers responded to the report of an automobile and motorcycle accident in the 2700 block of East League City Parkway (TX-96). League City Officers arrived to find a motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries. League City Emergency Medical Services transported the motorcyclist to Clear Lake Emergency Room.

The preliminary investigation from vehicle placement and witness statements indicate that the 47 year-old female driver of a 2013 red Cadillac sedan, was either traveling westbound or departed the parking lot of Kroger. She then utilized eastbound traffic’s turn lane (north into the Kroger parking lot) to travel eastbound on TX-96, thus creating a head on collision with the motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist, identified as 24 year-old Christopher Stevens of Dickinson, was pronounced deceased at Clear Lake Emergency Room.

The driver of the vehicle voluntarily consented to a blood draw and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
