Retired Senior Police Officer Roland J. Baylous passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the age of 67. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lorraine Baylous. He joined the Houston Police Department on September 13, 1976, Academy Class #75. During his tenure with the department, he was assigned to the Jail and Southeast Divisions. Senior Police Officer Baylous retired on June 2, 2007. 

 

The body is entrusted with Skipper Lee & Sons Eternal Rest Funeral Home, 4610 South Wayside Drive, Houston, Texas 77087 (713) 644-1166. A visitation will be held at Skipper Lee & Sons Eternal Rest Funeral Home on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

 

A viewing will be held before the Funeral Mass at Saint Mary of the Purification Catholic Church, 3006 Rosedale Street, Houston, Texas 77004 (713) 528-0571, on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Mass will start at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens, 2426 Cullen Boulevard, Pearland, Texas 77581 (281) 485-2221.
