On March 17, 2019, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office observed two vehicles racing against each other in the 4800 block of the North Sam Houston Tollway West. The deputy initiated a traffic stop but both drivers refused to stop, leading deputies on a brief pursuit.   

Constable Deputies were able to stop and detain one of the drivers, identified as Oscar Aguilar in the 1700 block of the North Sam Houston Parkway West. The investigation to identify the other racer continues.   

"Oscar Aguilar was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle and Racing on a Highway. His total bond was set at $4,000.00 out of County Court 13 and the 174th District Court." -Constable Mark Herman
