Burglary
Dec.
29 (5:00 p.m.) A vehicle burglary was reported at Cheers Pub located at
502 N. Friendswood Drive. While at the pub, the victim left to go to
another bar with friends. The victim returned to his vehicle at
midnight. Tactical gear, including a bulletproof vest, night vision
binoculars and Glock pistol magazines, were stolen.
Dec.
30 (12:02 p.m.) A vehicle was burglarized at Lake Friendswood Park,
located at 2533 Davis Prairie Lane. The victim arrived at 11:45 a.m.
and the burglary was discovered by a park attendant at 12:00 p.m. As
the victim was walking, she received a call about a charge being made
with her credit card at Target, she declined the charge, but did not
know her purse was stolen until she got back to her vehicle. The
suspect broke a window and stole the victim’s purse and contents.
Theft
Dec.
28 (2:53 p.m.) Paul Allan Garcia, 54, of Houston, was charged with
Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Garcia was driving a stolen vehicle
in the 800 block of N. Friendswood Drive. A traffic stop was conducted
in the 1200 block of Verdun Lane as Garcia pulled into a driveway.
During the contact, the officer observed a glass pipe and
methamphetamine. The officer also observed thirteen bottles of Tide
Laundry detergent. It was soon determined that Garcia, and his
passenger, were involved in a theft of laundry detergent from a
Walgreens store in Pearland. Other items inside the vehicle were stolen
from a Pearland Kroger store. It was learned that the vehicle was stolen
in Houston on December 24th. The owner started her vehicle
at 4:44 a.m. and left it running in her driveway. When the owner
returned to her vehicle, the vehicle was gone.
Dec. 29
(4:47 p.m.) Benjamin Quaintance-El, 36, of Friendswood, was issued a
citation for Theft and issued a criminal trespass warning prohibiting
him from returning to HEB located at 701 W. Parkwood Avenue.
Quaintance-El is accused of stealing produce and chili powder.
Ronald James Murray, AKA Lil’ Murder, was charged with Theft- Felony. Murray was involved in a theft on December 24th
at Walgreens located at 104 E. Parkwood Avenue. At the time of the
theft, Murray fled the scene. Once a warrant was obtained for Murray’s
arrest, he was already incarcerated in the Galveston County Jail for
Auto Theft.
Fraud
Dec. 30 (2:38 p.m.) A Friendswood woman’s identity was used to attempt to make a vehicle purchase at a car dealership in Austin.
Dec.
31 (3:09 p.m.) A Friendswood woman received a letter from her bank
regarding fraudulent activity. An unknown person, using the victim’s
personal identifying information, attempted to make a wire transfer.
Criminal Mischief
Dec.
27 (1:34 a.m.) Bryan Allen Elsberry, 22, of Friendswood, was charged
with Criminal Mischief. Officers responded to a residence in the 2000
block of Edgewater Drive for a burglary in progress. The homeowner
reported a white male, 6-feet tall, with blonde hair who was attempting
to enter the home. Elsberry was intoxicated and taken into custody.
Dec.
30 (5:33 p.m.) Michael Harold Morgan, 65, of League City, was charged
with Criminal Mischief. Morgan was involved in a road rage incident that
began in League City and ended in the Stonesthrow Senior Patio Homes
parking lot located at 105 Stonesthrow Avenue. A juvenile motorist
accidentally cut off Morgan in League City. Morgan followed the driver
until the juvenile driver arrived at Sno Beach in the Stronesthrow
Shopping Center. At that time, Morgan struck the juvenile’s vehicle
with a baseball bat.
Assault
Dec.
27 (7:47 p.m.) Nichole Catherine Weil, 43, of Friendswood, was charged
with Assault by Contact and Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transport. Weil
was arrested at her home in the 400 block of Morningside Drive. She is
accused of assaulting her fiancé. Once in custody, Weil began to kick
and fight officers and resisted entry into the back of the police
vehicle.
Dec. 31 (7:44 p.m.) A pizza delivery driver was
assaulted by a resident in the 16800 block of Paint Rock Road. During
the pizza exchange, the resident allegedly grabbed the delivery driver’s
buttocks. An assault citation was issued.
Narcotics
Dec.
28 (5:33 a.m.) An officer observed a white Toyota Camry stopped at the
entrance to an apartment complex in the 4900 block of FM 2351. The
vehicle had no front license plate and the occupants were not wearing
seat belts. The officer conducted a traffic stop and observed marijuana
in plain view. Dillian James Sweed, 24, of Brenham, was charged with
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Javorian Deshaun Jones, 18, of
Brenham, was charged with Minor in Possession of Tobacco Products.
During a search of the vehicle, the officer found 4-way lug wrenches,
screwdrivers, a floor jack and six cinder blocks – all items used to
steal tires and wheels from vehicles.
Dec. 28 (10:01 a.m.)
Kellie Ann Otto, 50, of Dickinson, was charged with Possession of a
Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1. Otto was stopped for expired
registration in the 100 block of Chester Drive. She had no insurance and
her Michigan driver’s license was suspended. As Otto exited the
vehicle, the officer observed methamphetamine. The officer conducted a
search and found methamphetamine.
Driving While Intoxicated
Dec. 26 (9:31 p.m.) Mark Allen Taylor, 63, of Friendswood, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated-2nd
offense in the 100 block of Clearview Avenue. Taylor was driving the
at-fault vehicle involved in a crash at the intersection of S.
Friendswood Drive and Clearview Avenue. Taylor exhibited signs of
intoxication and failed a field sobriety test.
Dec. 31
(2:18 a.m.) Gregory Chase Nelson, 43, of Friendswood, was charged with
Driving While Intoxicated in the 1700 block of Avery Lane. Nelson was
stopped for speeding, exhibited signs of intoxication, and failed a
field sobriety test.
Jan. 1 (1:05 a.m.) Richard Allen
Billows, 74, of Galveston, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated in
the 2300 block of Old Road. Officers were flagged down by a store
employee in the 2200 block of S. Friendswood Drive. The witness reported
an elderly man in the bushes. The officer found Billows and his
vehicle at a dead end stuck in the bushes; Billows was trying to reverse
the vehicle at the time. Billows exhibited signs of intoxication and
failed a field sobriety test.
Traffic
Dec.
27 (5:27 p.m.) Rudy Alberto Rodriguez, 45, of Houston, was charged with
No Driver’s License and Display Expired Registration in the 5100 block
of FM 2351.
