For weeks after Ahmaud Arbery was killed while running down a road in coastal southern Georgia, there were few public developments in the case of a 25-year-old unarmed black man who was shot while being pursued by two white men with weapons in February.

Then a graphic video of the shooting surfaced online, spurring widespread outrage.

Within days, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation had taken over the case. The video was criticized by celebrities and politicians alike, including President Donald Trump, who called the footage “very, very disturbing,” and former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, who said Arbery had essentially been “lynched before our very eyes.”

And in a major turn, the authorities announced Thursday night that they had arrested two suspects in the case and charged them with murder and aggravated assault.

Comments:
I wish the media would stop pushing the narrative that he was just out for a run, especially now that video's of him in places where he shouldn't have been are also starting to emerge - Everyone just simmer down and let the law do it's thing.

I don't think those men could possibly get a fair trial now that the news media has pushed its narrative they have all ready been tried in the court of public opinion and found guilty after the news media pushed its lines as the facts I will say this citizen arrest or not don't follow the suspect just call the cops right or wrong their are people out there that want to create a devide in this nation that just need some thing to happen and will use you as a pawn in their twisted game save your self some legal trouble and don't follow them call 911 and be a good witness if no life us in danger God Bless and Pray for our nation

I agree with other comments. However, they killed the man for what? Whatever was going on, they let their emotions take over and brought a loaded shotgun to the party. I mean, they were literally hunting from the back of a pick-up truck. Hard to get past those optics. This guy may have been (probably was) a petty criminal but he should not be dead. Stand in front of the court and plead your case. I don't see any verdict or plea that does not send them to prison (based on published information).
