Around 11:00 p.m. last night (April 22nd), Cedar Park Police responded to a 9-1-1 call saying a woman in her mid-twenties had been shot in the stomach outside a home off Red Oak Street. EMS transported the woman to the hospital in critical condition. Investigators obtained information that the suspect may be in route to the Houston area and were able to let local law enforcement there know to be on the lookout. A short time later, Horacio Martinez DOB 11/18/84 was arrested in Washington County and booked into the Washington County Jail on an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon charge.

As of 9 a.m. this morning, the victim has had surgery and remains in critical condition.

Right now this is being investigated as a domestic dispute situation but it remains ongoing—we will continue to update you with any new information as soon as possible.
