The man identified as the Sally Beauty Supply armed robber has been taken into custody.

William Longpre, 44, of Lufkin, was arrested by Corrigan Police yesterday on a warrant for aggravated robbery. Lufkin Police officers transported Longpre back to Lufkin.

Longpre was implicated after detectives gathered evidence connecting him to the crime.

Longpre reportedly walked into the store around 10:30 a.m. Friday, displayed a gun, and threatened the clerk. He then left with hair trimmers, clippers, and an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

He remained in Angelina County Jail Wednesday afternoon on a $350,000 bond.

(Longpre’s mug is from a 2021 arrest for public intoxication.)
