FORT WORTH, Texas- On Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, Fort Worth Police Department Corporal Mark Force #4203 was terminated following an administrative investigation into the incident that occurred in May 2022.

On May 25, 2022, Fort Worth Police Department Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call for service that resulted in the arrest of Fort Worth Police Department Corporal Force. Corporal Force was charged with the assault of a family member that occurred while he was off-duty. Corporal Forces’ criminal investigation was submitted to Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

Upon learning of his arrest, the Fort Worth Police Department immediately began an administrative investigation. Corporal Force was placed on restricted duty and stripped of all police powers during the course of the ongoing criminal and administrative investigations.

After a thorough review of the administrative investigation, Corporal Force’s chain of command determined that he violated multiple Fort Worth Police Department policies. Chief Noakes concurred with the chain of command’s determination and terminated Corporal Force’s employment with the department.

The Fort Worth Police Department holds its officers to a high standard both on and off-duty, and does not tolerate criminal misconduct or unethical behavior. Our department will continue to hold accountable those who do not meet that standard and in doing so, will continue to be transparent and open with our community.

Corporal Force has been with the department for eight years and was assigned to the Crisis Intervention Team at the time of his arrest.
