A jury has decided admitted serial killer William Lewis Reece should be executed for strangling to death a 19-year-old newlywed more than two decades ago.

Reece, 61, twiddled his thumbs twice but showed no emotion as Oklahoma County District Judge Susan Stallings read the verdict Wednesday. Formal sentencing was set for Aug. 19.

He never testified at his trial but jurors heard hours of his confessions to one killing in Oklahoma and three in Texas in 1997. His victims were all females, ages 12 to 20.
